Another good use of your Sendik's grocery bag!
Bring a Sendik's "Red Bag" to the Museum the weekend of January 30–31 to get one free adult admission, or half off a new Family/Dual membership. One bag per person. The collection is eco-friendly, and all bags will be recycled or reused.
Also, every Saturday in February is a Sendik’s Shopper Saturday, when a Sendik’s receipt is worth 50% off admission.
Kids 12 and under are always free.
Sendik's is the presenting sponsor for Sam Francis: Master Printmaker, the first exhibition in the new Bradley Family Gallery.
While at the museum, you can take advantage of many activities just for kids and families:
Explore the ways that artists use everyday materials to make beautiful works of art. Explore Deborah Butterfield’s horse made out of sticks and mud, Clarence and Grace Woolsey’s bottle-cap wonder, Chakaia Booker’s sculpture made from used car and truck tires, and more. Create your own work of art designing a quilt, rearranging a table with wood scraps, and composing a treasure from trash at the Rubbish Bar.
Immerse yourself in the art and culture of Haiti—past and present—in this new exhibition drawn from the Museum’s collection of Haitian art. Learn about the importance of community, family, religion, and more through music, photography, and a variety of activities.
Pick up an ArtPack for free from the ArtPack Station and use the activities in the galleries. These self-guided activities help families connect with art in fun ways. Current highlights include Sketchpacks—carry cases filled with a variety of paper and artist’s materials for drawing in the galleries, Reading with Art—picture books with cue cards developed to be read in front of works of art, puppets, and one-of-a-kind puzzles. ArtPacks are designed for a range of ages and attention spans.
Learn about art through games, videos, and scavenger hunts! Make connections throughout the galleries while playing art games designed to engage the whole family.
Swing by to make art! Open Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Free First Fridays), families can explore different art materials and techniques used to create the art works in the Museum’s Collection. January's theme is "A Splash of Color."
Story Time in the Galleries is every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Come hear a story that relates to a work of art in the galleries, and then create your own story or drawing to take home.
